Privacy policy

This policy explains how Capsure Software B.V. (“Capsure”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data in connection with the Capsure platform and this website.

For the purposes of this policy, Capsure is the controller of personal data we process for our own purposes, including account administration and the operation of this website. Contact: privacy@capsuresoftware.com.

Personal data we process

Depending on how you interact with us, we process:

  • identity and contact details, such as your name and email address
  • account and sign-in information
  • the content a customer submits to the platform, where that content includes personal data
  • correspondence you send us
  • technical and usage information required to operate and secure the service

Viewing this website does not require an account.

Waitlist

If you join the waitlist on this website, we process your name, your firm, the issue you describe, and your email address. We also store the country, city, and IP address of the connection you used, so we can see where the enquiry came from. Capsure stores that enquiry so we can reply. People at Capsure who handle enquiries can see it. We keep it while we are in contact with you about a place, and we delete it when you ask or when that conversation is over.

Website visits

If you accept the cookie notice, Capsure sets a first-party cookie and records the pages you open, the time, the country of the connection when the edge sends it, and whether you arrived direct, from search, from a campaign, from the docs, or from the app. That record has no name, firm, email, or IP address. If you then join the waitlist, the pages from that browser are copied onto the enquiry so the people who handle it can see which pages you opened. If you refuse, no cookie is set, no pages are recorded, and the enquiry is stored with no page history. The form still sends.

Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data to:

  • provide, maintain, and support the platform (performance of a contract)
  • authenticate users and protect the security of the service (legitimate interests and performance of a contract)
  • respond to enquiries (legitimate interests)
  • measure visits to this website after you accept the cookie notice (consent)
  • comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal data.

Customer data

Where a customer submits personal data about its personnel, investors, or other individuals, the customer determines the purposes of that processing. Capsure processes that personal data on the customer’s instructions in order to provide the platform. Requests relating to that data should be directed to the customer.

Recipients

We share personal data with service providers that process it on our behalf in order to operate the platform, and with the customer responsible for the relevant account. We may also disclose personal data where required by law, or where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights and safety of Capsure, our customers, and others.

Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. We retain a customer’s information for the period the customer uses the platform and thereafter as required to complete offboarding or to comply with law. We then delete or return it.

International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we do so subject to the safeguards required by applicable data protection law.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, or a copy of personal data you have provided, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or another competent supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@capsuresoftware.com. Where a customer is the controller, we will refer your request to that customer where appropriate.

Children

The platform and this website are directed at businesses and are not intended for children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
